January: Cozy, Winter Whites

January means winter. Winter means cold, snow, ice and all the forces of frost which conspire to keep us indoors, bundled up, in front of a roaring fire. This is stew, braise and roast season, which often calls for rich, hearty reds.

Still, winter whites have their place too, and we shouldn’t think of any wine as belonging to any specific season, but rather occasions. Enjoy four cozy, winter whites to start the New Year which will brighten this dreary and dull time of year and pair perfectly with rich winter fare!
