May: Eric Solomon’s Spain
For May, we’re returning to one of our favorite themes: Wine Importers.
This month, we’re going to focus on Eric Solomon, responsible more than anyone in the US for the rise of Spain as a fine wine source. Eric Solomon was a champion of Spain long before it was fashionable, putting unheard of appellations on the map such as Yecla, Montsant, Alicante, Jumilla, and Galicia. Many of today’s cutting edge Spanish producers are in Eric’s book: Terroir al Limit, Comando G, Nanclares, Envinate and more!
